This book was a Christmas gift from a very good friend who knows that I LOVE President Lincoln. I have a huge Lincoln collection and I enjoy reading about him and visiting places in the country that deal with him. So this was the perfect gift for me. It is titled "The Wit and Wisdom of Abraham Lincoln: The Best Stories By and About America's Most Beloved President" And was edited by Anthony Gross. This book is a collection of stories, excerts from letters and diaries by Abraham Lincoln or about him. It shows just what kind of a man he was. I always feel you can learn a lot about a person by the way they explain things or deal with situations and if my thinking this way is correct then Mr. Lincoln was a very caring man with deep emotions and had a fantastic since of humor. This book will have you laughing at the funny comments and answers he gives and crying over some of the amazing things he did for soldiers and their families during the Civil War.

I was giving a hard cover version and it is 230 pages in length. I was able to read it in 2 days but had time allowed I could have probably finished it in a day. It is a very fast read. It just lets you glimps inside, for a small amount of time, the personality of one of our nations greatest leaders.
