Yesterday I woke up to a rude awakening: my cat spit up three times in my carpeted hallway. There was a nasty mixture of hairballs and partially digested food allover the place. It was not a pleasant sight. Fortunately, I had some Woolite Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner Pet + Oxygen Stain and Odor Remover in the house. As an owner of a two pets, a dog and a cat, I am usually in need of some sort of cleaner.
So I got down to business. I removed the big amounts of food and hair with a paper towel and disposed of that.
Once that was done, I saturated the stains and I let it sit for around 15 minutes while I went about my "stuff" online. The directions say to let it sit, for at least 5 minutes.
When the time was up, I took a color-fast light blue rag and took my "cleaning-frustration" out on the carpet. I rubbed at the stain until it looked clean. It was hard to see whether or not the stain was completely gone because the carpet was now wet.
I noticed this morning to my chagrin, there was a darkish tan stain still remaining right where I had cleaned, at each point she threw up. The cleaner did not thoroughly clean the pet stains, even with the oxygen action, leaving the cleaner on extra time and with rubbing!
Right now I am giving the Woolite a second chance, but I am not impressed. I will do an update to say whether or not it removed the stains on any of my subsequent tries.
Update On Jul 11, 2009: I checked yesterday and the spots still remained. If I could decrease my overall rating of the product to a 2/5 to a 0/5, I would. Simply not effective!
