Recently we had to re-do some trim around some windows and we choose Behr Premium Plus Exterior paint for the job. We wanted a paint that would stand the test of time, would cover in one or two coats, and could be easily matched to our existing trim color. Upon the recommendation of the sales associate, Behr was what we purchased.
We were told this paint is durable and resists fading over time. This was very important to us since we live in Texas and it must endure blasting heat and blazing sunlight. The associate stated, of all the exterior paint they sell, Behr is the most popular for our kind of weather.
Since we were painting trim that had to be replaced with pressure treated wood, we wanted the paint to cover and seal the wood in one to two coats without later touch-ups. This paint went on smooth and proved to cover the trim in one coat; however, we did put on two just to be sure.
The associate matched the color to a piece of existing trim perfectly using their paint-matching computer. I was amazed to find the new trim color looked exactly like the old trim in a matter of hours after drying.
It has been several months since we did our trim work and I have had to clean the trim a couple of times thanks to a bird or two. The paint cleans up well and does not transfer to the sponge at all under vigorous scrubbing. That said, I know this Behr Premium Plus paint will give us years of trouble-free service.
