Both my mother and I love Thomas Kinkade's paintings. Mom also loves putting together puzzles, so when I thought of a birthday gift for her, a puzzle of a Kinkade's painting seemed like a perfect choice. Since Christmas is just around the corner, I decided to shop for a Christmas-themed one.
I found this one, named The Night Before Christmas, on Amazon, and I loved it the moment I saw it. Being only 1000 pieces, this puzzle is a little smaller than what I would prefer, but I purchased it nevertheless. The snow-covered cottage in the woods, with Kinkade's trademark brightly lit windows and a snowman next to it, was irresistable.
I have given the puzzle to Mom, and she is very happy with it. It is not easy to assemble because there are no clearly defined lines - that's Kinkade's style - so I probably would not recommend this one for beginners. For those who are experienced and prefer something more challenging, The Night Before Christmas would be perfect.
When the puzzle is completed, we plan to have it framed and placed on the wall. It is beautiful enough for that, not much different from a real painting.
