This is the album before Full Collapse. If you've listened to Full Collapse and War All the Time, then you should have this album definitely. Although this may not be as good as their later albums in terms of musicality, these are still great songs, and it's definitely worth it to listen to how Thursday sounded before their two more successful albums were made. For this album, I particularly like "Streaks in the Sky", and "This Side of Brightness".
Thursday writes songs with a purpose. Porcelain was a tribute and a call to action against suicide, since Geoff Rickly's (the vocalist) best friend committed suicide in San Francisco. The song "Ian Curtis" refers to the lead singer of Joy Division who also committed suicide in 1980.
