Before packing our stuff in our luggage for our US trip last 3 - 13 April, 2009, I did a lot of research on the dimension of the luggages which are acceptable to the US airport security and even the locks. I searched most of the department stores here and luggages stores to check for TSA approved locks so I need not leave our bags unlocked for security checking. I was lucky to find this Track TSA-approved lock in Carrefour's luggage section and I bought 3 right away. The price is quite good because I heard from friends who already travelled to the US that this particular lock is quite expensive but I was surprised to find out that this brand was not.

The lock is a combination of "combination" and "key" lock system. Using this ensures that you need not leave your bags open because the airport security has another set of master keys to open the lock without having to hack-saw the metal clamp. This lock also comes with 6 months guarantee, TSA compliant and tamper proof.

The only problem I have with this lock is it is pretty heavy and only comes in one color which is black. I had a hard time figuring out which is which since I bought 3. I had to use "white" inked pen to write codes on the bottom so I can identify which is mine, my hubby's and our daughter's.

When I went to the US, I saw a lot of cute and multi-colored TSA-compliant locks in most luggage stores. I don't mind buying another set just for the sake of identification but all in all, I am satisfied with my bag locks. I will definitely use them again even if our travel is not in the US.
