I have always liked Timberland boots and had decided many weeks before I walked into the Timberland shop that I was going to own a pair sooner rather than later. However, it was only the recent stint of freezing weather conditions which made me aware of the true benefits of owning a pair - so much that I decided to write this review.
However, despite being so functional in terms of robustness and grip the thing I love most is the versatility and comfort. I love wearing them and can either dress them down in some baggy jeans or jogging pants to look a little more young and streetwise (does that make me sound old?!?), or wear them in smart jeans and a top to make them look more mature. Whilst they have only really been highlighted as a fashion item in recent times I believe that Timberland boots are timelessly fashionable, and can easily be worn by anybody of any age.
I am very pleased that I decided to buy a pair of Timberland boots and consider them to be one of my essential fashion items. One could argue that there are other imitation boots out there which look the same but cost a fraction of the price. I cannot comment on other makes of boot but could guess that they are not built the same and will wear out much quicker. I have worn these boots frequently for the past 6 months and they still look like new!
I have to admit that £130 is a lot of money to pay. But if you think about it, you can purchase top-range Air trainers for a similar price. People often buy these trainers for fashion; they look great with a pair of shorts or joggers but cannot really be dressed up in a mature way and will either be out of fashion or worn out within a couple of seasons. I think that Timberland boots are superb value for money as you can go on wearing them for years without needing to replace them.
