From the back : "Three's a company, Five's a crowd! - Ichigo was just another normal seventh grader-until she was involved in an odd incident in which her DNA was merged with the DNA of an almost extinct wildcat. When four other girls' DNA is merged with the DNA of four other almost extinct animals, its apparent that they're part of a much bigger plan. Now, Ichigo has transformed into a crime-fighting cat named Mew Mew and must find the rest of the Tokyo Mew Mew crew as soon as possible. However, the mission turns out to be much more difficult than imagined! What do you do when a superhero denies her fate and pushes away her destiny? It's a race against the clock as Ichigo and her pals try to recruit a reluctant superhero in time to save the world.

This is the second volume of the manga behind the hit series Tokyo Mew Mew, which is a Japaneses anime. The english adapted anime, which is called Mew Mew Power, only made it halfway throught the series, so for American fans the manga is the best way to go, unless you want to watch the Japanese anime with english subtitles which can be found on YouTube. The Tokyo Mew Mew series has 7 volumes and the second season has 2 volumes.

My opinion: When an alien named Kish bodly comes around and kisses Ichigo in the midddle of her date with Masaya things take a turn for the worse until a new mew mew arrives to save the day. But when the last mew mew refuses to join the group what's a mew mew to do?
