Tom Wopat has come along way from being country boy Luke Duke to the Broadway star he now is. For as long as I've been alive I have been a Dukes of Hazzard fan and have always seen Tom Wopat and listened to his other albums and was very pleased in the country pick-me-up fun. However, this album; "The Still of the Night", I was shocked. There is no country twang, no upbeat toe tapping, and line dancing qualities. "The Still of the Night" is a jazzy masterpiece that I never knew he had that music style in him. If you like Sinatra, you'll love the new Tom Wopat CD. The entire album has 12 songs that flow well between one another and shows Tom's choice of material as being clever and upbeat. The feeling of the album makes you want to sit down in your cozy evening chair, grab a glass of wine and just relax. Tom Wopat is also never a stranger of being the romantic, and this album is perfect for showing off that deep, husky and sexy voice of his to make it an unforgettable musical experience.
