I started wearing eyeliner a year ago and I've always had problems with it fading or just flat out disappearing. I've read that it's because I have oily eyelids and that I should invest in a good eye shadow primer. In the past I received a sample from a Sephora order of Too Faced Shadow Insurance and it was really good. So I chose to buy it and it was really good.
The fragrance isn't all that great, it's kind of a chemical-y smell so I don't really like it.
The packaging is a blue box and it looks mostly like the tube of the shadow primer. The tube is baby blue with a tan colored plaque. On the very top of the tube is a black and blue silhouette. I think the packaging is cute and sophisticated, but after looking at it for a long time, the blue gets boring. But overall, the packaging is good.
It is a long lasting product compared to applying eye make-up without primer. I put on the primer and my eyeliner in humidity and it lasted a complete 2 hours without budging! And it sopped up all the oil on my lids and they looked a lot less shiny. I was so happy, and my eye shadow stayed on completely, too.
The primer is a light gold color and when you blend it in, it disappears. If you’re dark skinned (like me), only apply 2 dabs on both eyelids. If you use more, you can get an odd looking white cast on your eyelids. Next, let it soak in for 2 minutes, and then you can apply eye make-up.
This product is really good and I will buy it again. It's smooth and creamy and your eye make-up will last a long time if you apply this.
