I bought this Toro 14" cut electric trimmer edger at a rummage sale for my daughter. This is a nice little trimmer for light duty trimming and edging. We have a gas powered trimmer for our yard and it can be hard to start sometimes and is noisy and heavy to carry around. This trimmer I bought for my daughter for her house is much easier to use. My daughter just has to plug it in and it's ready to go. It is very lightweight and not very noisy, so it won't bother the neighbors. The spool takes any regular trimmer line and is easy to load by removing the top, winding on the line and replacing the top.
This is a straight shaft trimmer with a dual handle for easily switching from trimming to edging. The handle can be adjusted for the most comfortable position for the height of the person using it. It has a cord lock on the handle that prevents the cord from being unplugged.
The line gets fed by bumping the trimmer head on the ground a couple of times to release more line. It does seem to go through line pretty fast, but it may do better if a heavier line is used. This is best used on simple trimming and edging, as it seems to get caught up in tall grass sometimes and can cause the line to break off inside. The cord does limit you to the amount of distance you can go with this trimmer, but that is only limited to the amount of extension cord you have.
