Absolutely love this computer! I got it about two years ago and it has been great to work on. Since I am a big Internet surfer and I often use different wordprocessor programs and Windows Movie Maker, I needed something that would have enough memory to hold my files, be portable, hold a charge and most of all have speed. I got all of that with this!

I actually got an additional battery with this laptop that holds a charge of four hours. As a result of doing this, it makes it heavier that's why I graded weight lower. However, without the additional batteries about 6.5 pounds. I don't recommend carrying this around if you have to walk a long distance, I did this and my shoulder ached before I reached my destination.

I love the speed at which I can change screens especially when I have mutiple windows up. When I am on the Internet I usually have a number of tabs open, while downloading something and having a wordprocessor program running to type notes and with all of that running, the computer doesn't stall on me.

The speakers are nice but they don't have that subwoofer sound. They are made of good quality by a reputable company harman/kardon. So the sound is very clear and can get loud, but I love my bass, so I will be needing additional speakers.

I absolutely fell in love with the onyx finish--very classy. I have received compliments from onlookers.

One thing I wasn't happy with, was the hit and miss security screen that is supposed to read your face (face recognition capabilities, ) but it didn't always even when I moved my face in the way that the computer wanted.

Here are a few more details about the Toshiba as follows.

Intel Core 2 Duo T6500

4GB SDRAM, 320GB HDD

16" HD TruBrite Widescreen (love it! excellent images, clear and bright.)

DVD SuperMulti with LabelFlash. (great if you enjoy burning DVDs and making dvd movies.)

There is a USB sleep and charge option which I have used and very easy to check your PC's health.

Also, works well with Net Gear at home. I can be upstairs with my wireless access and the reception is perfect.

Overall, I think the computer is great! It has voice and video calling by Skype. The web camera is nice, but like with all cameras you have to be aware of your surroundings, lighting etc. I like the convenience of having to press a simple button on the computer and I can watch dvds--fast forward and go back buttons and volume control. I love the num lock buttons on my laptop (unlike many other laptops that don't have them) especially when you have a long list of numbers to type in a spreadsheet.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
