Although not the best batteries a person can buy, these Toshiba batteries are value for money, and if all they're being used for is torches or temporary situations, then these are best for you. At a cost of about $2.99 Australian for a 4pk, or $7.99 for a 18pk, these batteries are extremely cheap for what they are. I know people will say, cheap batteries are rubbish, they leak blah blah blah, so they are cheap, and rubbish compared to energizers, but they do the job and cost next to nothing, so spares are cheap.
The battery life in my torches hasn't changed a great deal from changing to the batteries, however i've noticed that over a few months of being left in a torch or controller, they seem to leak, causing rust buildup. Being tripple A, the chances are they'\ll be used for a tv remote or small toy, which i believe are low drain items, leading to an increased life (up to the point of leakage).
From past experience, these batteries are not good when being mixed with duds, so it's best to throw them away as they're being used up.
So next time when your buying batteries, skip the panasonic and energizers, and try a Toshiba battery.
