Track suit bottoms, joggies, joggers, trackies, whatever you call them. They have always been a mystery to me - so affordable, comfortable, nice colours and logo's yet socially unacceptable. I purchased some navy blue Lonsdale track suit bottoms recently and was very pleased, as it had the qualities mentioned above. Yet I wear them out with friends and receive comments like "looking flash today", and "quality clothing there". This stems to the core of human psychology - the item of clothing is cheap and different, therefore I am in the wrong as different is usually considered humourous and cheap a bad quality.
So I believe this is where track suit bottom's bad reputation comes from, and their reputation is also derived from poor single parent families with troublesome children that wear joggers. You can't deny their appeal from a sports point of view, a fundamental for athletes yet their negative connotations will undoubtedly stick with the clothing far into the future. However these people also spend inordinate amounts of money on branded clothing, I conclude that today's psychology is that a person is a little too self-centered and worried about their appearance. Personally I would recommend these Lonsdale joggers, £10, and comfortable. Don't worry though, I only wear them round the house, honest.
