I may sound weird in saying that I don't need an insurance for my trips but after trying it for an year, I thought I won't continue insuring my trips. I have got my trips insured for over a year by paying a certain amount of premium everytime but by the end of the year I saw that all my trips were safe, happy and they went very smoothly. So, the baseline I want to say is that the premiums I paid were pure losses for me. I am just a student and have to spend my money after thinking twice. But I always keep a good amount of money aside for my vacations as I enjoy them. I tried AIG travel insurance on my friend's insistance some an year and a half ago and from then I used to get some of my trips insured. I must say that the terms and the conditions are really very good in AIG travel insurance. They have many options which really lure the people to try the insurance but it looks as good only if the trips are canceled or if anything happens unexpectedly. The options of this insurance are really good if they really happen. In any case if we cancel the trip owing to unexpected weather conditions then they cover the expenses we have invested and they also provide the accomodation needed until the trip starts again. This is a very great thing to do for people as it is a very nice gesture from their part. Paying back money for cancelling trip is definitely the best thing about AIG insurance. They pay the medical expenses too if anything happens in the time of vacation and they take care of the medical needs. It is a great thing as one can feel very safe with the instant medical facilities offered by these people. Though the options are great I was not benifited from this insurance even after trying it for almost an year. This may be good for old people or people traveling to places where one can see drastic changes in the climate. So I stopped insuring my trips six months agoand I hope all my trips go as smoothly.
