Before having the Nintendo wii we had the Playstation 2, one of the games that we purchased for the kids was SSX this was an enjoyable snowboarding game, but we came across SSX tricky which was better than the SSX, the same characters were used in tricky as well as few new ones.

Like with all these games there was a section were you could do two players races and show offs, although this never earned anything, the other section was the world curcuit were you could earn points for your chosen character so therefore they would become more experienced and you could unlock things like new tracks, new snow boards and new outfits for the character in question.

The show offs was doing tricks while snowboarding down the mountain, to obtain a medal and unlock something new you have to reach a cetain score, unlike the first game you can do uber tricks which earn higher points. throughout the game there are certain music tracks played, some off which were quite catchy.

This is a game that the whole family can enjoy, the graphics are quite good and the game is suitable for kids aged 3 and above, both me and the kids had loads off fun competing in these events and building up all the characters. We purchased SSX blur for the wii and although there are several of the same characters as before this one just isnt as good.
