I have had a retirement fund I.R.A. with these folks for a while now. When you compare what they have to most of the options at the local banks there is just no comparison. Many banks want you to buy load funds with heavy fees for the investor. T.Rowe Price sells no load funds and keeps expenses to a minimum. If one were to go into a local bank they would most likely try to sell you a load fund that charges a 5 3/4 % fee and another 1/4 % for advertising fees. A grand total of 6 % ! Not really a good option for most of us especially when you see how rough the investment markets have been for some time now. If you went into a local bank and asked to buy a T.Rowe Price fund like a friend of mine did they just might tell you that they don't sell them there. If you really pressed them they might sell you one but you would pay a commission to get it. With T.Rowe Price there is no charge to buy the fund. So its best to invest directly with them instead of going to the bank. May folks feel safe doing business with the banks but unfortunately they have tons of fees that you get stuck with. Over time it can really cost you. Your options and range of products in my opinion is greater with T.Rowe Price as well as keeping your expenses down. Well worth ones consideration and time to look into this hard working exceptional mutual fund company from Baltimore, Maryland.
