Some may love their Boppy Pillow, but My Brest Friend nursing pillow was truly my breasts' friend. My son was a very nasty nurser. He did not latch on well and did not stay latched on well, but always went back for more, which was very uncomfortable for me. I finally broke down and went to Babies R Us to buy a nursing pillow. I was conflicted between the well known Boppy and the Brest Friend. In the end I went with the Brest Friend since it is supposedly the number one doula recommended nursing pillow and my breasts were very happy that I did. All that I had to do was fasten the strap around my waist and put my son on it. Since he found himself at the right height and in the nice stomach to stomach position to nurse, and it had those comfy little bumps to slightly elevate his head, he began to latch on like a pro and stay latched on. The back support made it perfect for nursing in any place. I loved that if the phone rang and I wasn't near it I could just put my arm around the edge of the pillow to hold him there and move around without disrupting his feeding (this practice may not be advisable by the manufacturer, but it is practical) because it fit so securely around my waist. I loved the little pouch to put things in (a book was usually good for the marathon feedings that lasted 45min to an hour). Some things that I didn't love were putting the cover back on the pillow once I had washed it, storing it when I wasn't using it because of its size and the fact that it took longer to put on because you have to fasten the belt which often made my son fussy having to wait. All in all, I loved this product and recommended it to all of my friends!
