When I first started reading Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, I was surprised at how much I actually enjoyed the book. Though the book took off slowly at the start, it eventually progressed quite smoothly and excitingly. Twilight, a story about a girl named Bella Swan who falls into a deadly love for Edward Cullen, a vampire. Although this sounds like a generic type of story, it is not for many reasons: The descriptions captivate your mind, and make you feel as though you are sitting at lunch with the star-crossed pair; It progresses evenly, from a calming lovestory to a struggle for survival; The characters each have undeniably relatable traits, even though they are both individuals whom you'd probably never find a living copy of. All in all, this book makes any woman, man, or child engrossed with the characters, and leaving them wanting to know more. Good thing there are three more!
