I didn't think I would like this movie because it was about vampires, not my favorite subject. But I was pleasantly surprised, because I really enjoyed it. My husband and I both watched it, and even though hubby classified it as a chick flick, he still thought it was pretty good too.
The movie stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. Kristen is Bella Swan, new to the area of Forks, Washington. She is strangely attracted to fellow student, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). But different things about Edward come to Bella's attention, such as the fact that he stays out of the sun, his skin is cold to the touch, his eyes change color. Bella puts two and two together and does some research on the Internet and with books, thus coming up with the idea that Edward may be a vampire. When Edward admits to her that he is indeed a vampire, it doesn't change the way Bella feels about him. There is definitely chemistry between these two, but how do they deal with the fact that she is human and he....isn't.
Twilight is 122 minutes long and is rated PG-13. This certainly is a different type of love story, and I found the story interesting and the acting believable. Special features include extended scenes and audio commentary.
Twilight was a good movie that I will watch again. My husband's daughter gave the DVD to him as a gift because she enjoyed it so much, and it was a pleasant experience for me, one that I wasn't expecting.
