Before owning a gym membership, I was always looking for ways to get a good workout that would compliment my running. A friend lent me her Billy Blanks Tae Bo DVD to try.
The instructions were very clear, and before beginning the workout, Billy Blanks tells you how each move should look and feel. Once the music begins, the workout is fairly challenging but Billy Blanks is encouraging and the music is motivating. You will certainly get a good workout if you do this DVD. It is especially good for the upper body which, as a runner, tends to be my weaker area.
Doing this workout in a small apartment wasn't a good idea, and I nearly took out a lamp with a roundhouse kick. You need a lot of space. It is best to wear athletic shoes, but it is hard to do this on a carpeted surface.
