These "Hanging Balls" are made with sweet feed (lots of oats), a cohesive material (probably molasses) and a string.
Unlike most boredom breakers for horses, these balls last forever, yet keep the horses occupied. That has been my biggest issues with competitor products such as Lik Its....they don't even last 2 hours until they're gone. These balls last a least a week, and sometimes a month, depending on the horse and the turnout schedule. The length of time they last also depends on the height in which you tie them. If you put them higher, the horses have to strain to get them. Lower, it's easier. Up against something such as a stall wall - even easier.
They are easy to hang and come packaged in a box with plastic over it. My horses have tried the molassess and the apple flavors. They both liked each flavor equally.
TOTALLY worth the $20 per horse to keep the boredom away! (And save my barn from the beaver teeth!)
