I found this queen size Debbie Travis matress pad on clearance at Canadian Tire for $35.00 last summer, i believe the regular price was somewhere around $120.00. They were clearing out alot of their bedding and linens, and i dont think the store carries much if any bedding anymore.

My bed is 10 years old, and not very comfortable anymore, unfortunately because i am a full time university student on her own, i just cannot afford a new bed at this time, so i decided to save some money and get a matress pad to make the bed a little more comfortable until i can get a new bed.

The matress pad has square pockets and is filled with some kind of material that is supposed to make it feel like feathers. When the matress pad was still new it did feel that way, but now its all flattened out and feels like it may just be cotton batting filled, and it probably is. It still adds some padding to my bed, but not as much as i would like. I'm just happy i didn't pay the one hundred and something dollars for it, but for only $35.00 i can't complain too much.

As for washing, i have to hand wash it, i couldn't imagine throwing it in the washer, the spinning would probably tangle and shred it to pieces, and the stuffing might fall out. I tumble dry it on low.

The pockets that are to be secured around the corners of the bed are flimsy and thin, one corner pocket has started to rip, the material looks, and feels like fabric softener sheets!

Other than that, this pad adds a little good basic padding to an uncomfortable bed.
