My friend let me borrow this book to read because she knows I love horror/scary novels. This book is titled Unhallowed Ground and was written by Heather Graham. I do not know much about this author and this is the first book I have read by her. The story is set in St. Augustine, Florida in modern times. The plot of the story is that there have recently been two females that look very similar in features and likes that have disappeared. A Private investigator has come to St. Augustine to investigate the disappearance of the first victim and ends up helping investigate the newest victim as well as he tends to believe the two are connected. A young lady who has grown up in St. Augustine has recently bought a home that was one of the original homes in St. Augustine. She bought it for historic value and for personal reasons of always remembering it when she was younger. During the restoration of her new home an old secret is reveled in the walls in the form of multiple skeletal remains buried there for over a hundred years. As the story progresses the skeletal remains end up helping in the investigation of the two females that have gone missing. And a little help from a ghost.

This is a great book for any one who loves ghost stories. It keeps you attention because you just know that these one hundred year old skeletons have to have something to do with the missing young women and you just can't figure it out till closer to the end of the story. It keeps you guessing all the way through and holds you attention. I was able to read it in about a day and a half. It is 362 pages long.
