I love the scent of vanilla in cosmetics. In my opinion Avon makes one of the best vanilla scented products, I love their Naturals Vanilla body spray, but find the rest of the collection doesnt last very long at all, and I really dislike their shower gels. I have also used the body lotion and spray from Victoria's Secret's Secret Garden Vanilla Lace, I like their Vanilla, but prefer Avon's. Avon smells like REAL vanilla, very sweet and marshmallow rice crispies.

A few years ago I was using St Ives vanilla body lotion and remembered how muh I loved their vanilla scent, it wasn't as sweet or 'real' smelling like Avon's, but it came in a huge bottle and was a nice classic vanilla, and it lasted a good length of time, so I decided to give it a try again, noticing that their graphics have changed on the bottle.

I don't know if besides the graphics changing if they also changed the formula as well, because it doesn't last as long as it used too. Also it doesn't have that vanilla smell it had a few years ago. It still smells a tad bit vanilla but now just more almond cookie or almond extract with a touch of vanilla. If you have ever smelled Jergens Original cherry blossom and almond body lotion, that is exactly how this lotion now smells, I think they should change the name to almond rather than vanilla. I still like it, but to me it just does not smell like vanilla, or maybe I am just used to the real pure sweet vanilla scent of Avon. This lotion is very soft and light smelling, I will continue to purchase it because I also like the scent of almond sugar cookies that this reminds me of, and it doesn't contain parabens or phthalates, or animal ingredients, they also don't test on animals. The first ingredients which means this lotion contains mostly - water, glycerin, and mineral oil.

I also love how economical it is, I apply right out of the shower and every night before bed, and it lasts a long time. It comes in a 600ml pump bottle and is less than$5.00 at Walmart, I have seen it $8.00 at other places, so I will continue to purchase it from Walmart since I work right across the street from them, and it is the cheapest place I have found it! I still use Avon's Naturals Vanilla body lotion along with this one, they both last about the same amount, but I find that the Avon dries out my hands, and it only comes in a 200ml bottle, and when it goes on sale it is $4.00! So it doesn't last as long.
