Vasil Levski stadium has been for over 70 years the Bulgarian National stadium. It is located in the heart of the Bulgarian capital: Sofia. Before the renovation in 2004 Vasil Levski`s capacity was 70 000, however after remodeling the stadium now holds 43 453. The renovation gave the stadium a European style which even the big European clubs recognize.
The stadium offers the regular concession stands and fan shops. It is equipped with a great audio system, which is one of the best in the world for a open stadium. Right now there is one video board, which its not anything remarkable, however in the beginning of 2008 there is a plan to install one of the biggest and modern multimedia board in Europe.
The stadium has its own offices, emergency room, state of the art dressing rooms and a huge press room.
Vasil Levski its used usually for Bulgarian soccer national team games, however there are many track and field events that occur during the year.
Vasil Levski combines, history with future and it has become a symbol of victory for the Bulgarian people.
