I have a collectibles booth in an indoor flea market, and recently I also decided to rent a jewelry display case. In addition to current designer pieces, I have also found that many ladies are looking for vintage jewelry.
This is a lovely vintage necklace, with ice blue rhinestones. It most likely is a 50s necklace. It is a length of 14 1/2", and I am constantly amazed at how tiny women's necks must have been then, as many of the vintage necklaces are very small in length. However, extenders can be purchased to increase the length.
This necklace was in excellent condition with no missing or "dead" stones. Sometimes when you purchase older jewelry, some of the stones are cloudy or discolored, but these are bright and sparkly. It has a scalloped design drop center, with several rows of the blue rhinestones, in a beautiful pattern.
I find vintage jewelry to be very interesting. It has a sense of history, and I feel that every piece probably has a story to go with it, so I like to find out as much as I can about a vintage piece. I am very pleased with this one!
