This belonged to my grandma; she often gives me things she no longer wears. I got it at least three years ago, and before that I'm not exactly sure how long she had it, but I'm guessing MANY years. I think that because it's a smaller sized bag and she stopped wearing small bags a long time ago. Now she prefers large, heftier bags. So I'm estimating it at 30 years old. It could very well be older.
I don't wear this bag much at all. I'm thinking about wearing it as a fall bag because of the color. It reminds me of a fallen leaf whose color has turned. It's this drab, browned down, red shade. In fact, to be honest, I don't really even like the color. It's just so BLAH, but it does seem appropriate for the season.
This is a good size for me. It's about 10.25" across and close to 10" in height. The straps are on the thin side, but they are not as skinny as the straps on some of my other bags. The width of the strap is approximately 3/4". The length from one side of the strap to the middle measures 19".
Some notable features that I like on the bag are the accordion-style detail on each side and the dual compartments in the main part inside. It appears to be made of textured leather, and it was made in Italy.
