I'm not one of those parent's who only allows there kids to play with educational toys. But at the same time if I find an educational toy that I think my children will enjoy and benefit from then I will purchase it. I recently bought V.Smile Baby for my two year old son.
V.Smile is a game console for babies that plugs into your television set. There are three different ways that your child can play that consist of play time (which is random play), watch and learn (where a character tells your child what to do and your child is suppose to follow) and Learn and explore (which is a little more difficult and takes a little inference by your child). The buttons are large and chunky which is perfect for my sons little hands.
The graphics on this console are atrocious. I find them to be on par with the other Vtech games which are also very poor. While the games and characters are certainly cute your child really has to be able to sit still and pay attention. You can buy additional cartridges for the console to participate in different learning modules.
My son absolutely hates this toy and throws it every time I bring it out. This toy is not great for "busy" children.
