The Inc. 5 designer slippers are delight to have in your wardrobe. They have lot of bright colors and faux glitters that make them wearable with party and casual dresses alike. Having said this, they weren't my first choice. I was attracted by a different pair of the same brand that was featured on the website. But when I went to buy, it didn’t amuse me as much as the one reviewed here today did.
My personal shoe range covers mostly flip-flops, slip-ons, sneakers, and platforms. This one is of the flip-flop variety but can be worn on non-casual occasions as well. The packaging is good. The shoes come in a black box with INC. 5 printed in white on it and silicate insect repeller pouches inside. The slippers hardly have any heel making it really flat. The base of the slippers is a mix of silver and blackish crocodile print that turns rainbow on sunlight. The upper strap consists of six thin velvety strands of different colors. The bridge on the middle with faux diamond line is the X-factor for the pair. The sole is thin but with enough grips to walk on the plush floors without faltering.
I have just begun to wear the new Inc. 5 pair, and so far I have liked the feel of it The foot bed doesn’t have much of a cushion making it little hard as compared to other shoes I wear. But then the upper strap, with thin colored suede strands, provides on guard protection to the upper feet. The pair is definitely softer than it looks like.
Now coming to the price, the designer range is not easy on pocket. Luckily, I was carrying privilege card with the store which gave me a rebate of 5% on the selling price. The shoes ultimately cost me around $17. The price made me think twice but I liked them very much, so much so that I went for the pair finally. I was carrying the guilt but back home my mother assured that it was worth the buy. Later, my friends told me that even a normal dress is enhanced greatly by the slippers. Even I felt that way, they are eye turners and I have found people look at my feet more than anything else. That made me visit the beauty salon a couple of times to get a pedicure (another associated extravagance) done. The slippers go best with natural nail gloss and mono color dresses since they are already so vibrant.
The slippers came with a warranty and instruction that didn’t say much except that they are washable on low machine, which I probably will never do. A light hand cleaning would be just fine after a hectic day's out. They are easy to clean since the foot bed is of shiny synthetic faux leather and does not hold on much dirt and grime. The suede strap could be brushed with foot or old tooth brushes gently.
