My mother-in-law bought me this game because I am hopelessly addicted to CSI and most other shows dealing with forensics. I find this a fascinating subject and love to see how crimes are solved using the smallest pieces of evidence.
CSI: Dark Motives is a really interesting game. You play as a rookie CSI agent and are given a murder to solve with the help of the other CSI agents. You have access to many forensic tools and the lab. You travel to different sites involved in the crime to collect evidence. You also interview any witnesses or suspects in the crime until you have aquired enough evidence to make an arrest.
After you solve each crime you move on to a new and more challenging investigation. As you progress in the game your forensic tools are upgraded and you are allowed access to more areas at CSI headquarters. I am not sure how many crimes there are to solve because I haven't made it all the way through the game yet.
The game includes likenesses of all the cast members of the original CSI; Crime Scene Investigation television program as well as their voices. It has very nice graphics and sound. It is rated Mature 17+ due to the violence. It is compatible with Windows 98/ME/2000 and XP.
If you are a fan of CSI or any other forensic shows I think you will enjoy trying to solve crimes yourself on this game.
