Being a college student I have always had trouble staying warm in my own apartment until recently I bought a space heater that is fire proof, safe, and gets the job done while not consuming much electricity. Wow, a college kid's dream; I live in an apartment with 2 other roommates who don't feel like paying for gas heating. So, I decided to get my own space heater and could not be more happy since then. The heater I got was from Delonghi model Magnum and it is awesome. It is user-friendly with a digital monitor right on the heater that dislpays temperature, settings, and even the time. To use it all you have to do is plug it in, set the temperature you want it to be by simply pushing the increase or decrease temperature button, and you can set the time to if you want... that's all! It heats up the room to the temperature you set it at and if it gets too hot you can decrease it; the heater has a temperature sensor and will not work as hard once the set room temperature is reached and if the temperature starts dropping it will automatically re-adjust itself to keep the set temperature. Because of this feature it only uses up the right amount of electricity which greatly helps when the electric bill comes. I find it to be about an extra $15 on the electric bill since I've been using this heater and that is not much considering I keep it on 24/7. I recommend this for any college student who doesn't have or can't afford sufficient heating because it will not cost much to buy and doesn't use up too much electricity so it won't burn a whole in your electric bill pocket.
