This is our first TV and we have owned it since we've been married. It's 36in CRT TV, and flat screen. We like the idea of the flat screen on CRT TV because it's not like any other plasma or LCD TV, where the flat screen presents a rather wider picture. My husband chose this TV because the flat screen is not that wide like those plasma or LCD TV; he said that images of people in the wider screen look fat. He immediately fell in love with this TV once he watched the pictures on the store display. Although it's heavy (you can immediately tell from the first look lol), it doesn't matter for us, since it stays there on our TV cabinet in our bedroom from the first moment we purchased it. We don't plan to move it for it's perfect where it is.
Actually, I don't like a big TV; well, 36in is big enough for me, but my hubby likes it. The design pretty elegant: it's silver colored and aluminium-edged. The picture quality and sound is excellent, even when we plugged in our home theater system, it worked well with it. Connections are available not only in the back but also at the front, so it makes easier for us whenever we want to play video or view pictures from our camcorders. We will never doubt Sony for its superb quality, although my father has warned us to be very careful with its products, since he has his old Sony CRT broken and it's hard to search for its sparepart (Sony said that spareparts are difficult to find in our region and once available, the price would be too expensive for us). But so far we have never experienced problems with our Sony TV, and we would like to keep it that way. It's a great product!
