For months I needed something to clean my makeup brushes with. When I bought my MAC blush brush, I wanted to buy some MAC brush cleaner, but they didn't have any for sale at the Cosmetic Company Store I was at. For whatever reason, they don't sell brush cleaner at pharmacies like Rite Aid and similar stores, at least not that I have found. I've heard of people using baby shampoo to clean their brushes, but I didn't want to risk it.
Time went by, and I received a Sephora gift card. I thought to myself immediately, "You NEED brush cleaner!" I checked the various types they had and found that this one had the best reviews at the time on Makeupalley.com (A website where people can review beauty products).
So the first time I used it was a very interesting experience. I looked at the bottle for directions. There were none! It basically just said to keep away from children and avoid your eyes. It also listed the ingredients. I consulted the website and was able to find out what to do there. Personally, I would have appreciated some sort of insert or for it to come in a box that said how to use it.
The scent of this is odd. It isn't super unpleasant, but I don't love it either. It smells like vegetables with a sweet top note over it. It cleaned my brushes well. First I wet them with lukewarm water then squirted some of the cleanser in a small dish. I took each brush and swirled it around until a lot of color ran away from it. Then I rinsed each brush, got rid of excess water and let them air-dry.
