I love to cook. Nothing beats a nice bowl of hot chili or chicken and dumplings on a cold day. I had been using a multi-purpose fryer or the stove for making one pot dishes, until I invested in my West Bend Crockery Cooker.
This crock pot has been a life saver for me. I can put my ingredients in it in the morning and by the time dinner rolls around the food is done. I no longer have to baby sit pots on the stove, adjust temperatures, or worry about hot spots or burning. The time my Crockery has given me back is amazing.
I use this pot frequently to make beans for parties. In the past, using my old multi-purpose fryer, not one person commented on my beans. They would always bust, sometimes the beans would burn, and most times they ended up as dog food. Not anymore! I did not have to change my recipe, I had to change my cookware. Now I have to double my recipe just to have leftovers. Everyone asks me if they can take some home.
The pot is removable so clean up is extremely easy. The size is generous at 5 quarts. The only pitfall I have found is the cord it extremely short--about 18 inches. I make note of that because my husband likes to partake in chili cook-offs at work and the length of the cord hinders the placement in the pot line-up on the table.
If you like making one-dish meals, beans, or chili, and love to bask in the aroma filling your house all day long, this West Bend Crockery Cooker is perfect for the job.
