Well, I got this product as a replacement for my other WD Passport 100gb that failed. SO Western Digital sent me a whole brand new drive, and it was upgraded to a new version with 120gb! Cool already!

So, I get it, open it up, and notice the sleek black finish. Amazing. The Passport is very small and very light, so it is great for laptops or just giving data to friends, etc. I really like the looks and size of it. Fits me well. Another thing I noticed is the light on the front is bright (good bright, not blinding or to dim). The USB port is covered on the side by a flap, so it is protected.

The Passport transfers data at reasonable speeds, probably the same as any other USB 2.0 drive. I would like it to be faster, because transferring 80gb plus can take an hour or two depending on computer and files being moved. It is not that bad for a portable drive though.

Some downsides were that it is formatted a little bit...111gb I think, maybe more. Also, the black finish didn't last so long. I take amazing care of my electronics, but this got scratched just sitting there it seemed. The black finish didn't get scratched off, but the thing collects dust and scratches like crazy.

Overall, I love the little thing. Western Digital is a great hardware company and great with RMAs and such. I say, if you are looking for one, especially a portable HDD, get this!!!
