These bars are part of Special K's weight loss product line which has items like protein-rich bars, shakes and bottled water; and low-calorie, but yummy cereals and crackers. It's hard to believe that at one point, they just offered their Original Flavor cereal, when considering all these new additions.
I like their bars, and I eat them because they taste good. I also eat them to stave off hunger between meals and keep my weight the same, not to lose weight, so I can't comment on the efficacy of their weight loss potential. I find that these keep me satiated for a long time. On their taste: these are very peanut-buttery. They are very sweet and salty, a favorite combination of mine.
The bar is coated in milk chocolate. It has crispies inside. When you bite into it, it is soft and slightly crunchy at the same time.
1 bar is 45 grams / 1.59 oz. It has 180 calories and 6 grams of fat. The total carbohydrates are 24 grams (That seems like a hefty amount, but since it's a meal bar, I guess it's okay). There are 15 grams of sugars and 10 grams of protein. It also has vitamins in it like A, C, D, E, B6, B12, niacin, thiamin, riboflavin and folic acid, and, the mineral, iron.
