Whistler, Canada, two hours from Vancouver, is a small village in the mountains popular for skiing and other winter sports. It resembles a ski resort with more than 200 shops and 90 restaurants and plenty of winter and summer fun. We had a fantastic time when we visited Whistler in the early spring. There was a still lot of snow covering the village and mountains, although it was melting. It looked like a dreamy, wintry village you see in the movies. Our hotel was right in the middle of the village, among all the shops and activities. Besides plenty of shopping, there is a lot to do at Whistler including ski lessons, snow boarding lessons, horse drawn sleigh rides through the mountains, dog sled ride, and much more. We took ski lessons and rode the horse drawn sleigh ride. They were both pretty awesome and well worth the price. Of course, we weren't ready to leave when the time came, especially since it started snowing really hard, but we knew we eventually had to leave this wintry paradise.
