Hasbro's Family Game Night is a collection of classic family games adapted into video games and bundled into one big package. It includes Yahtzee, Connect4, Scrabble, Sorry, Sorry Sliders, Battleships and Boggle. When you start up the game, you are taking into your room where you can place items won in the games (such as chairs and lamps). The menus are presented like drawers and are very user friendly, especially for kids. All the games are available for download from the Xbox Live Marketplace for 800 Microsoft Points each (about £6.60 or £10). You can also download themes for your room such as the secret agent theme or the jungle theme.

Yahtzee is a game where you score points based on dice rolls. You get points for rolling amounts of each number and for getting ‘Three of a Kind', 'Four of a Kind', a ‘Small Straight' (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4 etc), a ‘Large Straight' (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc), a ‘Full House' (2 of one, three of the other; e.g. 2, 2, 5, 5, 5) and a ‘Yahtzee' (all 5 dice are the same number). While the rules may sound complicated on paper, the game is in fact very intuitive and you will pick up the rules very quickly. The presentation is good, though clearly aimed at kids. [4/5]

Everyone knows how to play Connect 4 and this game is just as fun as the ‘real' version. It is really brought to life by the lively animations and the large variety of different game types, including one where you use power-ups to try to stop your opponent connecting 4. As with Yahtzee, the game is a lot more fun when played with friends. [4/5]
