When my husband and I arrived at our favorite beach house on the ocean for vacation, we were dismayed to see that one of the necessary Internet cables was missing. I am a freelance writer, and he is a busy attorney, so an Internet connection is a must.
So on our next trip to Walmart, my husband headed in one direction, and I went in the other. When we met again, he seemed discouraged. He said that he had gotten the cable, but that it was the only one they had, and it was 50 feet long! I smiled a big smile, and said that was perfect! (I had always longed to break away from the short cable at the dining room table, so that I could have a better view of the ocean.) I mean if you're going to work on vacation, you might as well enjoy the scenery, right?
When we arrived back home, I had received 2 writing assignments. We happily hooked up the long Ethernet Cable, and ran it across to the couch. I curled up comfortably, with my favorite computer tray table, and enjoyed a nice view of the ocean, while I wrote my articles. I loved it!
The cable is a Belkin FastCAT 5e Ethernet Cable that can connect a DSL or cable modem to your computer. It can also connect your computer to a wall outlet, router, hub, patch panel, or other type network-enabled device. (That was for all you geeks.) And guess what else? It has gold-plated contacts that help with the conductivity! And it has a Lifetime Product Warranty! I can assure you that it will be in our suitcase for every beach house trip! It made writing a pleasure on vacation!
