I believe that Who's Next is the definitive Who album with some of their biggest hits such at Won't Get Fooled Again, Baba O'Riley, Behind Blue Eyes, and the hit John Entwistle number My Wife. Who's Next was a product of the abandoned Lifehouse project from guitarist/songwriter Pete Townsend. The album carries no stories or operas like Tommy or Quadrophenia does, it is just pure rock and roll. That is a relief, because I think The Who is at their best with just rock. This is one of the top selling albums of all time as well as one of the highest rated albums of all time, and it is easy to see(hear) why. Song in and song out there is one great song after another, and there are 16 of them to keep you rocking for a long time. I don't see any real weakness in the soundtrack, I think every track is a good one. Many of these songs found there was onto the Kids Are Alright Live album, however their audio quality isn't consistant on that album and I feel Live at Leeds is better even though it doesn't contain some of their best songs. Who's Next is one of the premier albums in history, pick it up today.
