This is a great place for a holiday, me and my partner have a big age gap so was bit difficult to pick a holiday we would both like and enjoy.
After a few weeks of searching i came across a place called Gaurdalava which is a small island in cuba.
The total cost was quite reasonable and decided to give it ago and boy am i glad i did!
The flight was bit long winded and took eleven hours to get there but once we did it was amazing we stayed in a small hotel called the Hotel brisisas it was lovely very well cleaned and had all the amenities to have a relaxed stay,
The staff were very friendly and the weather was glorious reached well over 30 degrees, did manage to get burnt several times lol.
They have a range of activities to including water sports, swimming with dolphins, boat rides, snorkelling and much much more. Also have activities for the children so you can chill out by the pool and enjoy the sun while kids are playing.
The locals are very friendly and even try to show this by trying to learn more english from the tourists and we also learnt a bit of spanish too!
I must admit it was so good im going back this year its absolutely amazing and so much to do there, they have worked so hard to rebuild the area since the hurricane ike that hit about a year ago causing a lot of damage.
I would certinaly reccomend this holiday to anyone who loves the suna nd interested in a bit of culture its honestly such an amazing holiday and might make it a regular hotspot every year.
The food is pretty good too its all freshly made and the fruit is yummy i went bit mad on the salads and the potatoes they were so nicely layed out and the cuban coffee is a must try also.
Was actually nice to sit in the bar area with a hot coffee and a ciggerette as they have no smoking ban there lol so was bit of a plus side being a smoker.
I would not recommend the cuban cigars though unless your a very heavy smoker or can handle strong smelling cigars!
