This is not your traditional video game. Big Brain Academy has 15 activities that challenge your brain and how you measure up in the following categories: analysis, memory, quick thinking, number crunching and visual recognition.
As a family we enjoy this game. My husband and I like to compete to see who's the 'smartest'. The games are easy to understand, my 8 year old has no problem with the games. I like how it makes you work your brain. It is nice to see my son working his brain instead of playing another mindless video game. Some of the games are fairly easy but some are not so easy to figure out, especially at the expert level.
The graphics are OK, nothing great and to tell you the truth I kind of expected more from Wii. I am not sure what I was expecting for the graphics, but I just found them to be lacking. This isn't a major problem though.
This isn't a video game that my family will spend hours at like some games we have. After about 45 to 60 minutes of playing we found we get tired of it. I still would buy it because it does have great brain games but don't expect you or your child to spend a really long time at it in one sitting.
