I was on my way home from the second of four minor dental surgeries that I needed to have done in Pittsburgh, and I always treat myself to a shopping day at the Grove City Outlet Stores while I'm waiting for the novacaine to wear off. This way, I don't look forward to the painful dentist appointment and try to avoid it, but to the thrill of finding a great shopping bargain afterwards that I can add to my closet collection of stylish clothes. And my dentist loves finding out what I picked up after my last appointment with her. It's become our conversation piece because I'm always finding something good at a great price as a personal vanity pick-me-up.

Well, I had bought a new car and I had bought a new coat, and I needed to buy some new winter driving gloves to complete the look. My old winter gloves were ripped at the seams and stained from jumping a dead battery in an old car. I was browsing through Wilson Leather when I found their selection of Women's Sheepskin Thinsulate Gloves. I usually have to buy men's M gloves because I have my father's hands: long-fingered, wide across the palms and thick with muscle. But men's gloves are just plain ugly on a woman, cosmetically designed to accentuate burly strength rather than soft gracefulness. I tried on the XL women's gloves just on the off-chance I could squeeze into them, and they fit me like a glove! And these were women's gloves!

Oh, I was so excited. The price tag for these black sheepskin leather gloves was only $20 at the Wilson Leather outlet store. They have Thinsulate insulation and adjustable velcro-tabbed wrist cuffs, they look great with my new winter coat, and I LOVE leather! It took me less than two minutes to take these gloves to the cash register and make them mine, all mine.
