Christmas in July was being featured by HSN just recently, and I admit that I am a sucker for this type of thing. Christmas is my favorite time of year, so I wanted to see what HSN was offering. This beautiful fiber optic village is all white with white lights. It features little shoppers circling a rotating Christmas tree, and it really is a very nice piece. When completely lit with the room lights turned off (I had to try it that way), it looks just lovely. I did not need another Christmas decoration, but I couldn't pass up this sweet little village.
When Christmas rolls around, I intend to display this pretty decoration all lit up. My husband also commented on how nice it was. The only thing you have to watch out for is the glitter that is sprinkled all over the piece. It does come off, as glitter will. But this Village is so pretty that I don't even mind if the glitter comes off somewhat.
The Snowy White VIllage is $49.95 on HSN, the price I have posted is including tax, shipping and handling. I am very glad that I purchased this White Village, as I know it will be a beautiful decoration to display at Christmastime.
Update On Feb 12, 2011: I used my Snowy Village this past Christmas. It was a very nice addition to my other Christmas decorations in the room. It is crafted of a heavy ceramic and measures 13 and one half inches in length, 9 inches in width and 9 and one half inches in height. The light is provided by a 12 volt 10 watt push-in bulb that can be easily replaced when it burns out.
