I picked up this French, non-floral, aqua perfume spray from Dubai airport last year. I was just browsing through the perfume rack in an endeavor to pass the time, when a gorgeous crystal-like perfume bottle with a cute little handle caught my attention. It looked absolutely dazzling and I had to try it. I immediately sprayed a wee bit on my wrist and rubbed a little, only to be enamored by the lovely recharging fragrance. I was rejuvenated instantly! I headed for the billing counter without a second thought and ended up paying much more than I normally would for a perfume bottle. But that didn’t matter at that point, since I was too mesmerized by the magic of ‘Wish Chopard”.
The Wish Perfume, launched by the design House of Chopard (the original 1860 Louis-Ulysse Chopard watch making company) in 1997, is classified as a refreshing, oriental, woody fragrance. This brand also has a range of feminine scents in spicy floral, with notes of patchouli, incense, sandalwood and amber catering to a wide range of customers.
The diamond shaped bottle is absolutely gorgeous, and novel, and has a cute silver handle that enhances the look. Coming to the fragrance, ‘Wish Chopard” does not have a sweet and flowery scent. I am not very fond of floral scents, and this one is just what I love – more cologne-like and aquatic. You just have to spray it a little to feel it for a long time. It lasts for 6-8 hours, which, I think, is a good life for a perfume. However, it feels a little strong initially, as it takes a few seconds to get absorbed and diffuse, after which it stays with you the whole day long. I love the way it wafts around as I keep moving my arms and neck. It’s subtle and not over powering with a lingering effect that gets me much refreshed and recharged.
Since I am in the work place from morning till evening, something subtle yet refreshing works for me. With “Wish Chopard”, I can use it in the morning, before leaving for work and it’s still there when I come back home. It certainly makes the working experience a better one.
After a year and more, and with regular use, I am only half way through the bottle. I had paid something around $35 for a 30 ml bottle which was much more than I usually do, but do not regret it considering the effectiveness and the signature fragrance that it exudes.
I highly recommend this, if you are someone who would not mind paying more for a good fragrance that brings about a wow effect.
