Stardust was a movie that appealed to me when I first saw it advertised. A lover of Sci-Fi and Fantasy I knew it would be a movie I would enjoy. I never made it to the movie theatre to see it so I decided to purchase the dvd since I thought it would be a movie I would watch more than once.

The main stars of the movie are Michelle Pfeiffer, Claire Danes, Charlie Cox and Robert De Niro.

I think this movie has a little bit of something for everyone. There is love, fantasy, action and comedy. I'll admit I sometimes have a problem when I watch movies at home. Unless it is really good I tend to drift off after about an hour and wake up in time to see the closing credits. This movie managed to capture my attention and hold it for the entire length of the film.

I don't want to give away too much but the main portion of the story is the journey Tristan takes beyond "the wall" to bring back a falling star in order to win the heart of the girl he thinks he is in love with. The only thing is...Tristan isn't the only one who wants the falling star and that brings all sorts of danger and action to his adventure.

I have to say that I found Robert De Niro to be positively hilarious in this movie. He is really in his prime doing these comedic roles.

There are a few innuendos but honestly I don't think most kids would even notice or question them. Overall I thought it was a good movie that the whole family would enjoy.

And men, if you are thinking NO WAY, my 42 year old fiance watched it with me and he liked it too! :)
