My new favorite website is etsy.com where crafters sell their items and where I found this wooden shoe soap. It's a novelty item that I will never use but as soon as I saw it I knew it would make a great display on my bathroom counter.
This wooden shoe soap is not life sized, thank goodness. It measures a nice 4" long by 2" high and 1-3/4" across. It weighs 3.5 ounces and is vegan friendly according to the package insert.
This shoe is a hand-poured natural vegetable glycerin soap and has a very nice floral fragrance. The ingredients listed are: coconut oil, palm oil, castor oil, safflower oil, glycerin (kosher, of vegetable origin), purified water, sodium hydroxide, sorbitol (moisturizer, from berries), sorbitan oleate (emulsifier), soy bean protein (conditioner), titanium dioxide (makes soap opaque), color and fragrance oil.
I listed the ingredients for those that might be allergic to any of them or for anyone that is vegan. I was given four sample size pieces of this soap with my order so I was able to try the soap and keep my shoe for display.
If you are looking for a novelty soap item for your bathroom or to give as a gift, check out the handmade items from www.bubblegenius.com. My wooden shoe soap is truly a Dutch treat!!
