When we got our puppy last summer, we began the task of housebreaking her. Anyone who has ever done this knows how frustrating it can be.

Most of the time, we were able to get her outside before she had an accident. But, on occasion she'd pee on the carpet, usually after playing. We'd forget that she was excited and we overlooked the need to take her out again.

We already had carpet cleaner in the house, but realized we'd better get something targeted for pets. Those unpleasant smells they leave behind, especially after an accident are not something you want to linger.

At the store, I noticed that Woolite had a carpet cleaner for pet odors. Woolite had always been a product I trusted, so I decided to give this new product a try.

It comes in a 22 oz. spray bottle, which is easy to hold and maneuver when dealing with those stinky spots. It works great on urine, vomit and regular dirt. Luckily, she never messed in the house, so we didn't have to deal with that, but I have no doubt that this product would handle that well too. It's quick and easy and leaves a pleasant fresh smell instead of another odor trying to cover the pet's odor. It even got blood off the carpet, which I was quite surprised to see.

There is only one product that this didn't work on. As I was loading the dishwasher one day, Riley came running by and grabbed the gel pack that I had put in the dispenser. Apparently, it tastes terrible because she stopped running when it burst open and the blue cleaner began to drip from her mouth and onto the carpet. I was more concerned with her health than I was with cleaning the carpet right away, so maybe that's why it didn't come out as easily. Overall, I think this is a great product.
