The best selling authors James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge’s latest collaboration is the book Worst Case. This book is the third in a series of books following a widowed detective by the name of Michael Bennett.

Worst Case follows Detective Michael Bennett as he tries to catch a serial killer who targets teenage children of wealthy parents. The killer quizzes his abductees and if they do not know the answers they die. He feels that the wealthy are a waste of our resources of which they consume too much. Its up to Detective Bennett and his newest partner to solve the crime. In between solving the crime and caring for his 10 adopted children Detective Bennett has to sort out his feelings for his partner and another woman he has been attracted to for years.

This was a good book. It seemed a little repetitive. It is not as good as his earlier books when Patterson wrote alone. In my opinion Patterson, who is one of my favorite authors, needs to slow down the production of books he churns out (he supposedly has about 10 planned for this year) and get back to writing like he used to when he wrote alone.
